EDUCATION QUALITY

States are generally responsible for the secondary school education of its populace and the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) conducted by West African Examination Council (WAEC) presents an opportunity to assess the quality of education being delivered in each of the states. The West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) is a type of standardized test the states were ranked by the proportion of its students that sat for the examination and achieved 5 credits in the subjects they took including Mathematics and English (the minimum requirements needed for admission into university).
